How to begin setting up your network and security infrastructure

1. Create Users and Invite Your Team.

Navigate to the Team section and create

  • Users: Add individual team members

  • Groups: Organize users by function, department, or access level

  • User Profiles: Define specific roles and permissions for each user based on the group they belong to.

2. Setup Network

Navigate to Networks section and create new one, which will consist of different regions and private gateways. These components form the backbone of your network infrastructure.

3. Establish Connections Between On-Premises and Cloud Infrastructure

Begin setting up site-to-site VPN tunnels to securely link your on-premises systems with cloud resources. Vipilink makes it easy to integrate with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). It also supports connections to your on-premises firewalls and routers, including those from Fortigate, SonicWall, Palo Alto, pfSense, and Check Point.

4. Set Up Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)

Install Vipilink agents on all managed devices to enforce a Zero Trust security model, ensuring that every access request is authenticated, authorized, and encrypted, regardless of where the device is located.

5. Define Web Security Policies

Configure your Web Security Policies to control which network traffic is inspected. You can also specify certain traffic to be excluded from inspection. By default, Malware Protection is enabled to safeguard your network from potential threats.

6. Monitor your Network

Use the network monitoring tools to keep track of user activity, network sessions, and security reports. Regularly review logs to ensure security protocols are followed and identify any potential threats.
